Minimum Qualifications

RA Candidates will need to meet the following criteria to be eligible for the position:

-Degree, diploma or certification in progress through an accredited university, college, or postsecondary program

-Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5

-Availability to work and live on-site at Casas del Rio or Lobo Village

-Available to commit to the position for the full appointed year

 

By the time of employment, candidates will be required to:

-Have completed at least two semesters of college or university experience

-Successfully pass a background check 

-Be available to attend training and Turn time

 

 

 

 

RAs are responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: planning social and educational programs, assisting with administrative and leasing tasks at our front office, participating in marketing events, functioning as part of on an on-call duty rotation, enforcing policies, and serving as a role model and peer advisor for our residents.

General Responsibilities

Resident Advisors are paid hourly for the work that they do, and they are required to work a minimum of 12 hours per week. In addition, they receive a monthly discount on their rent. This compensation plan allows our RAs not only enough to cover rent, but provides them with additional spending money each month. 

 

But this job isn't simply about getting a paycheck every two weeks. It's more. As an RA, you'll develop leadership experience, build a number of valuable skills that you'll be able to utilize in just about any career field, make lasting connections and networks, and make a difference in the lives of our residents.

  • -RAs must be enrolled for a minimum of 9 credit hours for each spring and fall semester throughout their term of employment. Written approval must be obtained to carry more than 18 credit hours a semester. The Resident Advisor must maintain verifiable satisfactory academic progress, including a minimum GPA of 2.5.
